Sdma For Multipath Wireless Channels Book Description

by Igor P. Kovalyov, Sdma For Multipath Wireless Channels Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Sdma For Multipath Wireless Channels books, Space Division Multiple Access (SDMA) is one of the most promising methods in solving the capacity problem of wireless communication systems. In addition to creating more efficient SDMA algorithms it is vital to determine and understand the theoretical limit of performance improvement. The greatest challenge is extending Shannon’s channel capacity equation to cover the wireless channels that use spatial signal processing. This book defines formulas which can be used to evaluate the limit capacity of multipath wireless channels in a particular receiving region with size limitation. It also contains charts with optimum numbers of space subchannels and limit capacities related to radio channel parameters. The book also investigates stochastic models for 2-D and 3-D multipath random radio channels. The non-ray method for building a stochastic model, based on spherical harmonics, is presented here for the first time.

Electron Backscatter Diffraction In Materials Science Book Description

by Adam J. Schwartz, Electron Backscatter Diffraction In Materials Science Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Electron Backscatter Diffraction In Materials Science books, Electron backscatter diffraction is a very powerful and relatively new materials characterization technique aimed at the determination of crystallographic texture, grain boundary character distributions, lattice strain, phase identification, and much more. The purpose of this book is to provide the fundamental basis for electron backscatter diffraction in materials science, the current state of both hardware and software, and illustrative examples of the applications of electron backscatter diffraction to a wide-range of materials including undeformed and deformed metals and alloys, ceramics, and superconductors. The text has been substantially revised from the first edition, and the authors have kept the format as close as possible to the first edition text. The new developments covered in this book include a more comphrensive coverage of the fundamentals not covered in the first edition or other books in the field, the advances in hardware and software since the first edition was published, and current examples of application of electron backscatter diffraction to solve challenging problems in materials science and condensed-matter physics.

Multigroup Equations For The Description Of The Particle Transport In Semiconductors Book Description

by Martin Galler, Multigroup Equations For The Description Of The Particle Transport In Semiconductors Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Multigroup Equations For The Description Of The Particle Transport In Semiconductors books, Deterministic simulation of the particle transport in semiconductor devices is an interesting alternative to the common Monte Carlo approach. In this book, a state-of-the-art technique called the multigroup approach is presented and applied to a variety of transport problems in bulk semiconductors and semiconductor devices. High-field effects as well as hot-phonon phenomena in polar semiconductors are studied in detail. The mathematical properties of the presented numerical method are studied, and the method is applied to simulating the transport of a two-dimensional electron gas formed at a semiconductor heterostructure. Concerning semiconductor device simulation, several diodes and transistors fabricated of silicon and gallium arsenide are investigated. For all of these simulations, the numerical techniques employed are discussed in detail. This unique study of the application of direct methods for semiconductor device simulation provides the interested reader with an indispensable reference on this growing research area.
